Literature Teacher

Chesterton Academy of St. Benedict, a Catholic classical high school, seeks a talented and dynamic full-time literature teacher to join our team starting in the 2026-2027 academic year. This role will have the opportunity to teach additional subjects, including drama and debate, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the school. Part-time options may also be available.

A bachelor's or master's degree in literature or a related humanities field is required. The candidate should understand and be able to teach using an integrated curriculum drawn from the great books which allows for the connection between the humanities and the arts/sciences.

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.

In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at the Chesterton Academy of Saint Benedict participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and to help students grow in holiness. Faculty members also assist in leading spiritual retreats and school activities.
