Office Administrator
Chesterton Academy of St. Benedict, a classical Catholic high school, seeks an Office Administrator to support the Headmaster and the Board of Directors in connection with school administration matters. The Office Administrator will play a key role in supporting day to day operations and effective administrative processes for the school.
This position is full-time during the school year (with days off when the school is closed) and part-time over summer break.
Duties include:
Office Administration
Manage day to day front office operations, including student attendance and receiving telephone calls and visitors to the school
Manage school and student files in the Student Information System
Assist with recordkeeping and submissions related to accreditation and governmental funding
Coordinate communications with families
Oversee planning and logistics for various school activities
Assist with volunteer management
Other Administrative tasks as the Headmaster may designate
Fundraising and Promotional Efforts
Provide support for fundraising and marketing plans and events
Admissions
Assist with promotional efforts, including the Academy website, promotional materials, and the hosting of potential students
Oversee administration of student application and enrollment processes
Qualifications
Practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium
Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Eagerness and flexibility in taking on the varied tasks associated with a growing institution

Music Teacher
Chesterton Academy of St. Benedict, a classical Catholic high school, seeks a talented and joyful teacher to teach music history and performance on a part-time basis for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The music sequence is an essential part of the Chesterton Academy curriculum and required for all students every year. Students are taught singing and aural skills, musicology, and music history and theory. Choir studies follow a historical timeline: freshman year begins with the ancient and medieval periods. Successive years see a steady progression through Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and contemporary musical periods. The music teacher will also serve as the all-school choir director and will be responsible for choir performances.
A candidate should possess either a degree in Music or demonstrate extensive experience in the field of music. The candidate shall be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Chesterton Academies participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and help students grow in holiness. Part-time faculty members are encouraged to participate in the spiritual life of the school.
Time commitment: 2-3 school days per week, 4-6 class hours per week.

Drama Teacher
Chesterton Academy of St. Benedict, a classical Catholic high school, seeks a passionate and dynamic part-time high school Drama teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Drama is an integral part of the Chesterton Academy curriculum and required for all students during sophomore, junior and senior years. Chesterton Academy insists that the Arts are paramount to the formation of the students and gives them pride of place as fundamental and vital disciplines in its integrated curriculum. Drama takes the written word and brings it to life.
The drama teacher will cast, rehearse, and facilitate production of one dramatic performance each semester (a production for sophomores in the fall and a production for juniors and seniors in the spring). Almost all rehearsals are conducted during scheduled class hours. The drama teacher will instruct students in skills related to acting and support roles (as appropriate to their role in the play) effectively and engagingly, assess student performance through rehearsal participation, dress rehearsals, and final production, and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
A candidate should possess either a degree in Drama or demonstrate extensive experience in the field. Literature Teacher
Chesterton Academy of St. Benedict, a classical Catholic high school, seeks a talented and dynamic full-time literature teacher to join our team starting in the 2026-2027 academic year. This role will have the opportunity to teach additional subjects, including drama and debate, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the school. Part-time options may also be available.
A bachelor's or master's degree in literature or a related humanities field is required. The candidate should understand and be able to teach using an integrated curriculum drawn from the great books which allows for the connection between the humanities and the arts/sciences.
The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
