Math & Science Teacher

Chesterton Academy of St. Benedict, a Catholic classical high school, seeks a talented and dynamic full-time teacher to teach Math and Science. We seek a versatile teacher whose love of science and math is matched by their love of teaching and forming high school students in the Catholic faith. Part-time options may also be available.

In our third year of operation, the 2026-2027 academic year will be the first year in which Chesterton Academy of St. Benedict offers Grades 9-12. Teaching responsibilities for this role will include Algebra II, Pre-Calculus and Physics. Future years will provide an opportunity to teach additional subjects, including Calculus and Chemistry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of the connections between mathematics, sciences, fine arts, and the humanities, as well as a passion for inspiring wonder and excellence in students who study mathematics and sciences. A Bachelor's degree or higher in a Math or Science-related field is required. Teaching experience or training in classical/liberal arts schools is preferred.

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.

In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at the Chesterton Academy of Saint Benedict participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and to help students grow in holiness. Faculty members are required to attend daily Mass with the entire student body and assist in leading spiritual retreats and school activities.

The position is full-time, beginning August 2026. Part-time options may also be available. Humanities Teacher

Chesterton Academy of St. Benedict, a Catholic classical high school, seeks a talented and dynamic part-time Humanities teacher to join our team starting in the 2026-2027 academic year.

The successful candidate will be able to teach one or more of the following subjects: Literature, Latin, Philosophy, Theology, and Drama. A bachelor's or master's degree is required. The candidate should understand and be able to teach using an integrated curriculum drawn from the great books which allows for the connection between the humanities and the arts/sciences.

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium.
